It is looking for an exceptional Data Scientist to join a new team focused on the development of real-time bidder. The system powering this product must deal with 100,000’s of requests per second and presents unique engineering challenges. In addition, the bidder requires use of machine learning models that are trained in batch and then used to power decision making in real-time.

Passionate. You take your work seriously, whether it’s generating actionable insights from predictive modeling or crafting performant queries. You can balance hitting deadlines with rigorous methodology and care about things like data sanitization and code reviews.
Curious. You stay on top of trends, explore new technologies, and treat every project as an opportunity to nudge closer to the bleeding edge. You’re excited by deep learning, neural networks, and see a million unstructured data points as an opportunity for pattern discovery.
Collaborative. You know that communication can make or break a project. You are excited to mentor junior team members. You know how to give (and receive) constructive feedback. You can work with product managers, analysts, engineers, and maybe even business folk.
Experience. You’ve faced some problems and either solved them or learned an important lesson. Either way, your bag of tricks has some depth and you have strong opinions about what works and what doesn’t (that you’re willing to change in the face of new data). Formal education is always great but an eagerness to learn is more important.
Technologies. We use the right tool for the job (e.g. SciKit-Learn, Spark/MLlib, TensorFlow and more) and our data lives in Hive or S3. You should know your SQL and Python pretty damn well, but the specifics of our stack shouldn’t hold you back.
